Boat

1. A relatively small, usually open craft of a size that might be carried aboard a ship. There were many boats available in case the ship sank.
2. An inland vessel of any size. We built a sail boat when we were young.
3. A ship or submarine. The boat put to sea for trials.
4. A dish shaped like a boat. The gravy went into a sauce boat.
