1. To heat a liquid to a point where it begins to turn to gas (steam). Boil the water before drinking.
2. To cook in boiling water. We love boiled carrots.
3, To be stirred up or greatly excited. The mere idea made me boil.
4. To be in a state of agitation; seethe. The river boiled over the rocks.
