Cherry

1. Wood of any of various cherry trees especially the black cherry. Our table is made from cherry.
2. Any of numerous trees and shrubs producing a small fleshy round fruit with a single hard stone; many also produce a valuable hardwood. Birds love to eat the cherries on the tree.
3. Color. A moderate or strong red to purplish red. Her car was painted a cherry red.
