Chip

1. A damaged area of a surface where a small piece has been broken off. The vase suffered a chip when last used.
2. Small piece broken from a larger piece of solid material. A wood chip flew during the tree being cut down.
3. (games, gambling) A token used in a place of cash. Poker chips are used instead of actual cash.
4. A circuit fabricated in one piece on a small, thin substrate. I bought a new computer chip.
