Dot

1. A tiny round mark made by or as if by a pointed instrument; a spot. Such a mark used in orthography, as above an i. Some people ignore putting dot over and i and j.
2. Mathematics. A decimal point. We indicate a decimal place by using a dot in the proper place in the number.
3. Internet addresses. My Internet address is referred to verbally as a paulnoll dot com.
