Coral

A rocklike deposit consisting of the calcareous skeletons secreted by various anthozoans. Coral deposits often accumulate to form reefs or islands in warm seas. Any of numerous chiefly colonial marine polyps of the class Anthozoa that secrete such calcareous skeletons.
