The Head man at the University was most gracious to us and to the entire group that was with us. This is Party Secretary Wang Qiyou of the Foreign Languages College. Its two campuses in Baoding cover an area of 1.6188 million mu in total where the building area amounts to 0.95 million mu, in addition to 3.3 million mu of affiliated farmland, over 27 million m2 of affiliated woodland.

The teaching faculty totals more than 2,613 including 223 full professors, 275 associate professors. Total enrolment in 2005 exceeds 24,271, including 1,060 for doctoral or master degree and 367 in-service candidates for academic degrees of various levels, in addition to over 3,000 participants in adult education.
