Watermelon Patch

Just a few weeks ago I saw these farmers planting some seedlings and then put plastic over the seedlings. When I later took this photo I discovered they had planted watermelons. They are weeding by hand now. Notice the raised wall on the left of the picture. It is for a power line pole. They had sold about 8 foot of the soil to a brick factory and thus lowered the field. They had built a brick wall around the pole (now partially collapsed). Notice that the field in back is also about 5 feet higher.
