China has become better in their reduction of smoking in many areas. In the past a great majority of Chinese smoke and there were no "No Smoking " signs. It was interesting to us to see that the "Beijing Patriotic Health Campaign Committee" has sponsored the signage. China has begun to realize how costly the health cost associated with smoking costs the health system. Smoking is outlawed on buses, trains, most restaurants (in the bigger cities). Also they have partiality curtailed the use of public smoking advertising.
