Institute of Tropical Botany

We came to Xishuangbanna to visit the Chinese National Academy of Sciences Institute of Tropical Botany. The Institute covers an area of 266 hectares (657 Acres). It has 13 collections and communities of cultivated plants, quick-growing plants, southern Yunnan plants, bamboos, and palms. Bernice and I were the guests of the institute and stayed there and ate at their facilities. They were most gracious to us.
