Our Hotel in Zigong, Sichuan

Julius has secured a hotel room for us for the time we will spend in Zigong. This is typical of hotels that we stayed in. The hotels we stay in are generally in the price range of 10 to 20 Yuan a night. Roughly $5 to $10 US. American tourists would be staying in 5 star hotels for 300 to 600 Yuan a night ($150 to $300 US). The TV has only Chinese stations on for a few hours a night. The air conditioning is the fan. Heat is generally not available. If you look carefully you will note we have an electric blanket plugged in to keep warm. All electricity is 220 volts, 50 cycles. For us, hotels are only for sleeping at night. The hotels we stay in generally have no food or restaurants.
