Cangshan Mountain

Cangshan Mountain Cangshan Mountain

Look at the Grand View of Cangshan Mountain and Erhai Lake. Cangshan spans 30 miles in length and 12 miles in width. This ridge of mountains shadowing Erhai Lake from the west has 19 peaks with 18 streams between each peak cascading down through terraced pools to water the plain below. The mountain flowers from a spectacular display: camellias, cherry blossoms, lilies, azaleas, numerous kinds of cactus and many more. The highest peak, snowcapped most of the year, rises to 4,122 meters directly west of Dali and is marked by a television station at the summit. You can climb to the peak but there are no accommodations at the top.
