Trail to Top of Mount Emei

Because so many people visit Chinese national parks, the government constructed stone steps all the way from the bottom to the top. Even so, the steps were quite worn from the feet of many people over the years. Mount Emei is about 4000 feet high. It is one of the four sacred mountains to the Chinese. Many old folks come to this mountain to die. When we first started up the mountain we met two porters carrying two dead ladies who had gone to the top and died.
