Nolls Park their Bikes Chinese Bicycle Park The land in Chengdu is mostly flat and we rode our bicycles everywhere. When you go downtown you must park your bicycle in the many bicycle parks. In 1987 most bikes looked alike and it could be somewhat difficult to find your bicycle. Bernice and I put American flag decals on the back fender so we could find hem easier. It also caused many people to call out to us as we rode anywhere, which helped us to meet more people. Ladies run the park and charge 3 fen fee. They give you a wooden tag and put a matching tag on your bike to prevent theft. In the background you can see a billboard in which Zhou Enlai extols a couple to have just one child.
