Lunch After Church Visit to Lewis Ke Family, Countryside
5. Sunday After Church

Lewis also volunteered to go to Church with us each Sunday and translate the services that are in Chinese. Translation is one of the hardest translation tasks because you don't have a lot of time to figure out what to say and along comes some more. It is excellent for improving your oral English. It also is another opportunity to hear English as we spend three hours going and coming back from Church. After Church Bernice and I go out to eat in the city. Most often we take 4-5 students. We pay for the lunch for everyone. It only costs perhaps $2 US for the bunch of us. Here we are buying some baked hot sweet potatoes from a street vendor. Bernice is on the left, Lewis is on the far right and Melanie Su is making sure that we get the best potatoes. Melanie and Lewis both accepted the Lord before we left China.
