Lu Zhishen with a white monk face, is the leading character in "Wild Boar Forest," based in an episode in Outlaws of the Marsh. Lin Chong, captain of the imperial guards, is convicted on a false charge and banished to Cangzhou. His guards have orders to murder him when they are passing through Wild Boar Forest, but Li Zhishen, Lin Chong's sworn brother, follows them secretly, overpowers the guards, and saves Lin Chong.
