Dou Erdun - Flowered Three-Tile Face

Three-Tile Face is also called Three-Pit Face

The flowered three-tile face has intricate, variegated designs around the eyes, brows, and nose. Basically, however, the face consists of three large patches or "tiles." The beard is usually red or black with the mouth exposed; sometimes the character wears only a bar-shaped mustache. This kind of painted face is worn by a bold warrior or a greenwood hero. Dou Erdun wears a blue flowered three-tile face in the opera "Stealing the Imperial Steed." The sharp pointed figure between the brows represent the deadly two-hook weapon he uses so deftly.
