15. Lotus

In optimum conditions lotus will reach full potential in regards to height, leaf and bloom size. In southeastern Colorado the lotus do not grow as tall as lotus that grow in zones 7, 8, and 9 since it has a shorter growing season. Please be advised lotus are very invasive if you are planning on planting in a natural pond.
