Chongqing Housing near the Docks

Although the port of Chongqing, at the confluence of the Jialing and Yangzi rivers has undergone numerous urban development programs since its industrialization, parts of the old town (left) remain to give some areas a picturesque, turn-of-the-century appearance. In the background to the left you can see the steps going down to the boats going down the Yangzi to Wuhan.
