15. White Pagoda Temple

In Gansu Province, in the town of Lanzhou is White Pagoda Hill on the northern bank of the Yellow River. On the top of the hill is the White Pagoda Temple, originally built during the Yuan Dynasty, from where you can get a good view across the city. We visited there in 1984 when we went to see a student who worked at the Atomic Research Institute.
