Jinjiang Hotel Dining in Chengdu

This is the Jinjiang Hotel Dining Room on Renmen Nan Lu in Chengdu in 1984. Two beautiful young ladies are having a fine luxurious dinner. Bernice Noll and Kay Hudson are having a grand time. When we arrived in Chengdu we discovered we didn't have enough teachers so we sent out a call for Kay and she answered our call. She had to come to Hong Kong to get her visa. She did a fine job for us and the students just loved her. She is from Redding, California. They met a Time magazine photographer there and he took the picture. The dinner cost $1.50. In 1988 the US Government established a Consulate in the hotel.
