34. Typical Chinese Kitchen

Paul has been invited to give a lecture to a government scientific optic institute nearby. Some of our students work there. He was asked to give a lecture on "Cowboys and Indians" of the old West. Before the lecture we had a party with our students in their apartment. This is the kitchen. A single burner stove and a sink. They are making jiaozi {Jows za), which is a dumpling stuffed with cabbage, and pork, and seasoned with ginger and garlic. It is a favorite all over China. It is a popular party food and students love to have jiaozi parties. We love to eat them and still make some here in the US today
