First Grade on Outing

This is my first grade class on their outing to the Yellow River. It was a rainy day but it was not going to spoil their "day of fun." The older students, being wiser declared that it wasn't fun because of the rain. In the background is a statue of "Mother River." China refers to the Yellow River as their mother river. It is also known as the "River of Sorrows," in reference to the millions who have drown in the floods of the past. This is a delightful class to teach. They are so bright and eager to learn.
