21. City Park

Zhengzhou was initially rebuilt during 1949-50, but significant urban expansion did not take place until after 1954, when the city was designated as a site for industrial development. Food processing and cotton textile industries were given priority. By the 1960s, Zhengzhou had become an important industrial center as well as a transportation hub. We discovered the city had many beautiful parks spread throughout the city.
