Kumi Village School Children Welcomes President Elect Ike

This picture was taken in Kumi when "Ike" fulfilled his presidential candidacy promise to visit Korea and stop the war. Banners were strung; citizens, elders and school kids marched. The whole village turned out but I don't think "Ike" showed up. School kids are like the world over, any excuse to get out of class is welcomed and they were having fun with or without "Ike".
