Since most relays were located on the highest mountain, the view was usually the best available, which was not always good. Many times in the early morning hours, numerous mountaintops would be sticking up in a sea of fog that had settled in the valleys overnight. The view had a good and bad side. While you can see a lot so can others see you on the top of the mountain. And a Relay Site is a good target for the enemy.
