Part of the Road Up to Hill 1157

Every day a goodly number of Korean workers would be set to work on the road. They would place rock on the worst muddy spots and tamp them down. The road was always a problem and somewhat difficult to drive. It took nerves of steel to drive up. Most of the time you were in the lowest gear and with all wheels having power. Tires would last about a month. Engines would last several months. This section was the best area as it was level although very muddy.
