Church and Priest near Hill 775

This Church was near the Radio Relay Station at Hill 775. When I was off duty at the station I would wander around the surrounding hills. One day I discovered this Church up in the hills. When I traveled away from the station I would only speak in Korean. This seemed to please people and most amaze them that a soldier would and could speak the native language. It made me many friends everywhere I went. The priest invited me to his home for dinner, which I very much enjoyed. I would learn more words to increase my ability to converse and they enjoyed teaching me.

The Priest's wife had a new baby that was a darling. Each time I came I brought a gift of food such as coffee, sugar or chocolate candy bars. They appreciated the chance to talk to Americans. The location was way up in the hills away from everything.
