Friends near our Radio Station

When I had some time off from my radio duties I often needed to get away and relax. One day I started across the hills to see what lay on the other side. I discovered a small village of 10 or so homes and a Church. I stopped to talk with them and they invited me for lunch. They shared with me what little they had. It meant a lot to me to relax with these people and forget the war for a few hours. They invited me to return. Food was scarce for these people and we had so much. This lady had a new baby so I would bring a big box of whole milk powder for the babies of the village each time I returned. Note the handmade table in the background and the flowers she had fixed. She wanted me to see her new baby.
