Beason Site at Gate (H30) The Beason Site looking at the Gate from Site Chief's Office. LeRoy Smith (Smitty) took these pictures in '65 and '66. He operated as the Site Chief and gratefully shared these pictures with me. Having started the site in 1951 I could not recognize the site from the changes made. Living in a dugout in the ground at walking to the top, it amazed me to see what the site has become now. On the skyline you can see a helicopter setting on the helipad.
