LeRoy Smith (Smitty) says: "When I arrived on site, we had over 6,000 gallons of gas and over 10,000 gallons of diesel fuel, plus lube oil stored in 55-gallon drums on site. I had to get about 50,000 more gallons of diesel before the roads were cut of for the winter. Also additional gas and lube oil. The three site generators, heating stoves and mess hall used a lot of fuel.
