Carl Hughes Our Houseboy - Segment 1 Joe Doaks Innocent children wandering down the road were adopted by G.I.S These children were sad victims of a war that they nor their parents had anything to do with. Every one had a homeless waif called a house boy. Ours was given the name Joe Doaks. We all chipped in and bought him a cowboy suit, holster and gun. We almost had to peel it off of him. He was really proud of that costume. We fed and clothed these children but I don't remember anyone treating them like the children they really were. Bob Nord did try to teach him how to repair the gasoline engines that drove the electric Generators |
