Background and History

Born August 10 1892 in Guangdong Province and died November 19 1974 in Beijing. He served in the Seventh Corps of the Red Army after the Long March in Yanan.
Promoted to General of the Army in 1955 (Equivalent to 4 Stars). General Zhang Yunyi served as the Secretary of Guangxi Province Political Committee.

Activities in Korean War

General Zhang Yunyi did nit participate directly in Korea in the Korean War.
