Our Bird Feeders and Water Station

This entire group sits about 50 feet from the house. The bird house on the tall pole is just for show. The big fir tree on the left has a very important use. Most of the birds fly to the tree to case out the location and see if it is safe. The shy birds hide in there when someone else comes along. Quite a number of birds hide there until they feel it is safe. Three nests lie in row. Tree Swallows occupy two of the bigger nests and a Black-headed Chickadee occupies the smaller nest.
