Icterus bullockii - Locally common in shade trees from the Great Plains west. Song is clear flute-like whistles, either singly or in a varied series of 4-10. These fellows showed up in a group for food and drink. Then flew off to our cherry trees to perch for a spell. They are colorful birds. We were happy to see them. We are happy to see all birds. They keep us busy putting seeds out for our friends. Back to Pleasant Hill Bird Page 5 Back to Alphabetic List of Birds |
