Aphelocoma californica - This fellow visits often. The Western Scrub-Jay is common in scrub oaks, where it skillfully remains out of sight.We have many oaks on our eleven acres. Flights are short, ending with a sweeping glide. He is not a bully like the Stellar Jay. However, the Stellar jays always move aside for the Scrub-Jays.
