Spotted Towhee

Pipilo macculatus -- Common in brush, heavy undergrowth, wood margins, and hedgerows. Call is slurred chewink. Song is drink-your-tea, 7-12 minutes, the last note trilled. Three of these beauties showed up for a bath and some eats. Known in the past as a Rufous-sided Towhee.
