Snow Bunting

Plectrophenax nivalis -- Fairly common; breeds on tundra, rocky shores, talus slopes. During migration and winter, found on shores, especially sand dunes and beaches, and in weedy fields, grain stubble, along roadsides. Often found in large flocks that may contain Lapland Longspurs and Horned Larks.
