Accipiter cooperii - Uncommon; in open woodlands and wood margins. Best told from Sharp-shinned Hawk but comparatively rounded tail, large head, white terminal tailband, and slower wing beat. As in other accipiters, the immature shows rich brown streaking. A very fast and powerful hawk. Call, a series of 15-20 kaks.
