Red-eyed Vireo
Vireo olivaceus -
Red iris, prominent eye stripe, and blue-gray cap distinguish this bird from
all others. Immature has a brown iris. It is told by its bright yellow sides
and undertail coverts and less distinct eye stripe. Immature Red-eyed has buffy
undertail parts. Song is robin-like but phrases are separated by brief pauses;
the song continues for many minutes without a long break, 35-70/min.
