Occasionally you may have to use a knife or potato peeler to remove any peels left. If the apple is quite out of round it may leave a strip or patch of peel. Then we cut the peeled sliced apple in 6 pieces. After cutting, the apple pieces are put into the salted water. The salted water will greatly slow down the browning of the apple.
