While Bernice works on the split pit peaches Paul prepares the syrup. The syrup is 1 part of sugar to 2 parts of water. Because we are working on the peaches now he shorts the water by 1 part. After boiling he will add 1 part of water by using ice cubes to cool down the syrup faster. You can make the syrup with less sugar if you wish.
