Handle the Split Pit Peaches

The split pit peaches should be handled separately. Peel by hand and split the peach. Trim off the bad spots. We use the split pit peaches for jam because they will be mashed up and not used as peach halves. Split pit peaches often will have ants or earwigs in the center so you don't want to put them into boiling water.
