Careful Measurement is Critical

Both the sugar and fruit needs to be measured out accurately. Failure to get a good set can often be attributed to inaccurate measurement of the fruit and/or sugar. Here Bernice uses the back of a tablespoon to press flat the raspberries to eliminate air pockets and get an accurate amount of the fruit.
