Step 9, Place Jars in Canner

As each jar has been processed it gets placed in the steamer canner. The heat under the canner has been set to low heat. Put an inch of water in the canner with some vinegar. This vinegar prevents discoloring of the aluminum pan. When 7 jars have been filled and placed we put the lid of the canner on the canner and turn up the heat to high. When steam begins to come out the side start the timing. Quarts require 25 minutes.
