Ball Blue Book of Canning Ball Blue Book of preserving Both Ball and Kerr have licensed Allrista to continue their "Home Canning" line of goods. Pictured on the left is my old 1972 Blue Book and after I broke down and bought a new copy on the right is the one they now produce. We don't always follow their recipes to the letter. For instance we do not water bath Jams. But their book is the best on the market. The Ball Blue Book has been published since 1909.
