Peeling Peaches in Boiling Water Put the peaches in the wire basket. Dip them into boiling water 1/2 to 1 minute to loosen skins. Skins should slip off easily. Remove from the water and put them into cold water that has some salt in it. The salt will slow down the peaches turning brown. Try peeling first batch to determine how long a time to use. Adjust time if needed. The required time will be determines by the ripeness of the peaches. We try to sort batches by ripeness. Back to Canning Peach Jam |
