Measure Sugar - 2

The first thing we did was to prepare our syrup that we will use to can our pears. We wanted a light syrup, 3 parts of water to one part sugar. I estimated that we had enough pears to make syrup with 3 quarts of water and 1 quart of sugar. Here we measure out our 4 cups (1 quart ) of sugar.
