A Student's Family Kitchen

This picture shows the family kitchen. It is a typical Chinese Kitchen, although a little larger than many kitchens. Our student's Mom produced a fantastic dinner here for Bernice and I while we napped. In many Chinese kitchens the plumbing in exterior because the walls are concrete. Mom has an electric rice cooker and a gas two burner seen in far right. The gas is generally from bottled gas. A wok sits on the gas stove. Various bottles of soy sauce, vinegars, and oil sit on the counter. A container of cooking chopsticks sits above the sink. Mom keeps a clean kitchen.
