Making Shoestring Potatoes

3. Cut Potato

We cut each potato in half as shown in the photo. We do this so we have a flat surface to push against in the potato cutter. Also we don't want the potato to be too long. That is so the shoestrings are not too long and that the potato will fit in the cutter.
